Write to us

We aim to reply within two business days. If you are working against a deadline — an estate sale, a closing, a family meeting — say so in the first line and we will move you up.

If something went wrong

The more of this you can include, the faster we can fix it. Do not worry about getting it complete — send what you have.

  • What you did. The steps, in order, right before the problem.
  • What you expected. What you thought would happen.
  • What happened instead. The exact wording of any message helps.
  • Screenshots. Always welcome. On an iPhone, press the side button and volume up together.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version. Settings, then General, then About.
  • The lot number, if the problem is with one particular item.

Please do not send photographs of documents, or anything with personal information in the frame. We do not need them, and we would rather not have them.

If a value looks wrong

Tell us. Estimates come from a photograph, and a photograph misses things — marks, signatures, condition, repairs, whether a piece is genuine. We would rather hear that a range was badly off than not.

In the app, you can correct any identification yourself. Renamed items are marked as corrected and their old estimate drops out of the totals.

Estimates are AI-generated guidance, not a certified appraisal. Anything marked APPRAISE — or anything you have a feeling about — deserves a professional opinion before it leaves the house.

Purchases and refunds

All purchases go through Apple, which means refunds do too. Apple handles them through its standard process at reportaproblem.apple.com — we do not process payments and cannot refund a card directly.

If your identification balance looks wrong after a purchase, write to us and we will sort it out.

Common questions

Is this an appraisal?

No. Estate Triage gives AI-generated guidance from a single photograph. It is not a certified appraisal, it does not follow appraisal standards, and it can be wrong — sometimes by a lot, in either direction.

Get a professional when an item is flagged APPRAISE, when something might be unique or unusually valuable, when you simply have a feeling about it, and always for insurance, estate tax, probate, dividing property among heirs, or a charitable donation deduction.

What happens to my photos?

Each photo is sent over an encrypted connection to be analyzed, and we do not store it. A small thumbnail stays on your phone as part of your inventory. See the privacy policy for the full account.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no email address to give.

Is there a subscription?

No. One price, one time. Nothing to cancel.

I got a new phone. Does my inventory move with it?

Your Lot Book is stored on the device, so it travels with a standard iPhone backup and restore. Because we keep no copy, we cannot recover an inventory ourselves — export the PDF or CSV before you switch phones or delete the app.

How do I get my inventory out of the app?

Export it as a dated PDF report, grouped by room with totals and the appraise list up front, or as a CSV for a spreadsheet. Both are created on your phone and go only where you send them.
